Quick Group, a global leader in marine equipment design and manufacturing, will offer attendees the chance to experience its exceptional MC
2 Quick Gyro stabilizers in a real-world sea trial during Genoa International Boat Show, 18-23 September.
Operating from Quick Group’s pontoon stand (Banchina E - Booth YE702A), the sea trials will take place on the Group’s Nimbus T11 demo boat. A lounge area will also host post-trial discussions and offer technical insights with Quick Group specialists.
Each sea trial, lasting 15-20 minutes, will not only show the transformative effect of the MC
2 system, but also demonstrate its ease of installation and maintenance. Experts will be on hand to explain the technology and answer questions, and as an added incentive, everyone who commits to an MC
2 Quick Gyro at the show or following a sea trial will be offered an exclusive promotional rate, valid to the end of 2025.
“
We’ve already had a lot of people sign up for our sea trials at the Genoa show so they can try our gyro first-hand. We find that unless they try it, people can struggle to understand how it works, and that’s why sea trials are so important,” enthuses Andreas Karlsen, Chief Commercial Officer at Quick Group. “
The beauty of a gyro stabilizer is that the unit can be mounted anywhere on board and it still has the same effect, both underway and at anchor. In addition, our MC2 Quick Gyros are air-cooled, meaning they don’t need complex system installations or through-hull fittings to work. That makes any maintenance super easy – as show-goers will see first-hand if they sign up for a sea trial in Genoa.”
Quick Group’s MC² Quick Gyro was conceived from an innovative and compact stabilizer design. Since then, Quick Group has leveraged its extensive in-house engineering and R&D expertise to enhance the concept with advanced technical solutions, bringing to market a next-generation gyro stabilizer system suitable for a wide variety of vessels.
With multiple models all based on the same unit footprint, and with MC
2 being air-cooled rather than relying on a complex seawater cooling system, the gyro unit – or multiple units, in the case of a larger vessel – can be installed anywhere on board. It also offers easy in-situ maintenance, reducing costs and removing the headaches of servicing and potential points of failure. In turn, that means not only a smoother ride when cruising, but also a smoother ride in the ownership experience.
MC
2 Quick Gyro is available in a large number of configurations to suit any vessel type or application.
“Our gyro stablizer range comes in both 12V DC and AC models, which means we can cater to boats from chase boats and dayboats all the way up to superyachts,” says Karlsen,
“and because there are no underwater appendages, they are perfect for any type of vessel, including planing boats. They’re just as suited to displacement trawler yachts as they are to high-powered sportfish boats – and an ideal solution for superyacht tenders to give owners and guests that true limo experience.”
The Nimbus T11 test vessel on display at the Genoa show for the sea trials also offers an insight into the wider portfolio of Quick Group products and solutions, demonstrating why the company stands out as a one-stop shop for key marine equipment, trusted by leading yachtbuilders and discerning boat owners worldwide. The Nimbus T11 features everything from a Quick Nautical Equipment Olympic anchoring system to chargers and inverters, full Quick Marine Lighting systems including pop-up lights, and more.
